It has very good music, I think some stages could have been longer, and there could have been more enemy variety. The bosses were cool though, Don't bother with the leaderboards. The highscore is stupid since you can infinitely stack points on the bubbles in stage 6, and the in-game timer makes no sense. How does it take me ~20 minutes (RTA) without dying to complete the game and end with a 14 minute in-game timer? Where did the 6 minutes go? There aren't that many cutscenes to amound to that time. FreakZone pls.. A solid, straightforward platformer set in the absolutely bewildering "Manos" film. Of course it takes extreme liberties with the source material, though never as strange as Darth Vader turning into a scorpion. Environments are expanded upon, all set to 8-bit renditions of the movie soundtrack, with a new level set in Plan 9 from Outer Space. There's a lot to like, though absolutely nothing original to the gameplay- it's a quick and easy-ish play for lovers of all things Retro and/or Manos.I leave you with two words: Torgo Mode.. You've played an indie game that's exactly like this several hundred times before. Though if you have a soft spot for nostalgic retro platformers, you may look past the de ja vu thoughts to enjoy a fairly decent, yet short retro platformer that's based off of a hilariously awful movie!:https://youtu.be/R7YxwaNKqLc. A really cool little game, created as a throwback to the bad films of the past. It takes strong inspiration from castlevania with a jump straight out of Super Mario. The controls seem fairly responsive and for the most part the enemies adhere to a strict pattern, making deaths feel fair and victory feel rewarding. Highly recommend to fans of the 2D Platformer genre, or fans of old horror movies. One day, almost 10 years ago, a (soon to be a really close friend) told me that I should watch this movie. It had a weird name. "Manos" what the hell is that? But I'm glad I did, because it became one of my favorites. That guy gifted the game a couple of days ago, and here I am, using my free time to finish it. Absolutely reccommended, specially if you love old gaming and old movies.. Manos: The Hands of Fate is regarded as one of the worst movies created, ever.This game might not be the worst game ever, but it sure as hell tries to be. The game is filled with platform game sins. New gameplay elements are introduced by killing you pretty much instantly. More than once you have to take a leap of faith just to hit something this pushes you back a little and lets you plumet to the weird void that kills you. In the third level you can walk up stairs, but if you think you can drop to the level below by failling of a ledge you are wrong. You can only go down in places that show a stairs. Most levels end in a boss battle. These battles are a pain in the♥♥♥♥♥as it's just shooting a lot of times (note: you cannot move and shoot) and trying to jump way from the pixels that hurt you. Luckily in some cases you can just hide in a corner where the boss cannot reach you.The game is about an hour long, or at least, if you can suffer through so much..
